I'll see about getting it on iTunes Ping as well as Spotify.

Sam the series is more than 90% done. It's just video editing and finishing the last episode to do.

Jeffrey and Karen Meade are the two characters in the opening scene of season 5, and it's fair to say there's a big surprise/twist.

Here's an extended sneak peek from Episode 1 - Can't Stop the Rain. Promo pics and a trailer coming throughout the week.

S05E01 - Can't Stop the Rain - Preview: Welcome Home
Kate: Today’s the day.
Lou: As if we can forget.
Lauren: I just pray it isn’t going to be awkward.
Kate: You mean that moment when a woman is convicted of attempted murder three times, leaves prison and moves into the house across the street from the women she tried to leave six feet under. Yeah, no, I can’t see that EVER being awkward.
Lauren: She’s sorry, and she’s done her time.
Kate: You’re saying you can forgive Kerry for nearly putting you underground?
Lauren: I think I already have. We were friends for over 3 decades. I can’t forget that.
Kate: But Kerry clearly did. When she sat next to you when you were deep in a coma and somehow, managed to fail to switch off your life support machine.
Lexi: Hey, Kate, remember when you spent time in jail in your twenties for killing a man?
Lauren: Exactly, and I don’t seem to remember Kerry actually killing anyone, huh Kate?
Lou: Could you imagine if she did though? How different would our lives be?
Lauren: All I’m saying is that we should be civil to her and give her time to settle back in.
Lou: Why is she even moving here? You’d think she’d settle somewhere else, build a new life.
Lexi: Lets see – she spent all her money on the run and then she spent 3 years banged up in the slammer. I’m guessing there weren’t many money making opportunities for her to take part in.
Kate: Well, I certainly found a few when I was behind bars.
Lou: Yeah, but honey they weren't exactly the most ethical of ways to get cash, were they?
Lauren: Kate you need your tea filled up - would you prefer it from the kettle or the pot?
Kate: Okay I can be civil to her, I’ll say hello and wave when needed just don’t expect me to be bringing freshly baked muffins and lemon torte to her door to welcome her home.
Lou: Oh God no, Kate. Then you’d be getting sent to prison, again – your cooking can kill.
Lauren: That reminds me – our dinner party tomorrow night. I have invited Kerry.
Lou: Oh Lauren, why don’t we just roll the red carpet out for her and throw her a party?!
Kate: Yeah, and just imagine that banner - ‘Welcome Home Queen of Attempted Murder 2006’!

LMAO. The last line killed me! :P

The bitch fest is back.

I wouldn't forgive anyone for trying to kill me, Lauren's too kind for her own good. :P

Lauren's always been a pushover, I think. At least in my mind.

I liked writing when the 5 main women were together but it was hard to do that given then history but I think I managed it. Ben and Rik are a lot more developed this season as well, and so are Richard and Steve.

There's no mystery this season, the main storyline revolves around Lexi feeling guilty about killing Dave and Kerry trying to find out who shot him.

Ooh, that's exciting! Will we see more of Delia? I assume we'll find out more reasons as to why Lexi killed him.

The reason Lexi shot Dave has more to do with Rik. Dave features in flashback. You'll find out why in episode 3. It's a very good, but perhaps controversial, reason.

Shoooosh. I've enjoyed writing and producing season 5, I was tempted at times to do just that but I can't.

I'll be doing new SimTV stuff in the autumn after FSB11.

Aw, it's a shame. It's the only old show (aside from Sim Brother) that is still running!

Yeah. I mean if there's unimaginable, huge demand for season 6 I could work it out but I'm more than happy with the way it ends.

New addition to the soundtrack: Sia - Lullaby. She just writes and sings the most amazing music.

Ooh, it looks awesome!

I'm surprised you allowed Andre to reprise his role as Dave! Faye must have gone mental! :P

In all seriousness it looks absolutely exciting! I hope Lou doesn't have heartbreak. She's my favourite and I want her to have a happy ending.

Is that Lexi with Dave? She looks really different. :| Or is it Delia?

It's Lexi. Dave/Andre is in a few episodes, but he was needed to finish off the storyline properly.

I gave a lot of charatcers some changes because a lot of time has passed (well, 2-3 years roughly). The guys look most different - I had to change their hair colours because Richard, Steve and Ben were all blond and it confused even me, but it's all been written into the show. In terms of the Sims themselves it's the same ones I used for season 4.

The trailer previews forthcoming storylines - Lauren turns to alcohol, Lexi dances with a devil from her past, Kate jumps into a relationship with neighbour Steve, Lou crumbles under the pressure of a wedding and trying for a baby and a face from the past returns to Sim Street.

Season 5 starts on Wednesday 20th July.

The start of the advert is a bit jumpy. I spent extra time trying to fix it, including reshooting the scenes but I think it's the processing of the video that's doing it because the clips individually run smoothly.
