Sim Brother Couples 2: Day 5 Highlights

It's the fifth day in the Sim Brother Couples house. Today, the couples will nominate for the first time.

Yesterday, Vaughn and Aisha were set secret missions by Sim Brother. They each passed and have unlocked access to the gym for the entire house.

Sasha and Vaughn have been awake for thirty minutes.

Sasha: You ready yet?

Vaughn: Just about.

Sasha: You take longer than me to get ready!

Vaughn: I like to make sure I'm presentable.

Sasha: You could crawl in after a night out and look good. You lucky bastard.

Vaughn: (Laughs). Even so, some extra effort is required. We're on TV after all.

Sasha: You don't say. Right. Let's go get warm.

Vaughn: There are other things we could do to get warm, you know?

Sasha: Vaughn! Our family's are watching!

Vaughn: I'm just saying!?

Sasha: It's only been five days!

Vaughn: Five long... terrible days.

Sasha: (Laughs). Well, get used to it because you won't be getting any relief in here.

The rest of the housemates are now awake.

Roy: Morning, honey.

Kim: Good morning. Did you sleep better last night?

Roy: I did. And I was thinking.

Kim: That's a worrying sign.

Roy: (Laughs). I figured there's no point us missing the kids when they probably aren't even thinking about us.

Kim: Annabelle probably is.

Roy: Are you sure? When she has all her cousins and all the toys and that big house to play in? They'll be having the time of their lives. I got a bit fed up of feeling down about missing them when they're clearly having fun. So, we need to have fun in here.

Kim: Absolutely.

Roy: And if we can win some money so we can take them on that dream road-trip, then even better!

Kim: Heck yes!

Kalyani: You checking Roy out?

Tammi-Louise: Of course. He's irresistible in those red pants.

Kalyani: You do like an older man.

Tammi-Louise: When they look like Wilbur, yes.

Kalyani: (Laughs). Why doesn't he put some fucking clothes on? Not only is it December but you're in a room with eight other people. Nobody needs to see that first thing in the morning.

Tammi-Louise: Or the last thing you see before bed.

Kalyani: Stuff of nightmares, babe.

Naveen is in the bathroom.

Vaughn and Zsa Zsa are in the lounge.

Zsa Zsa: I'm disappointed I didn't get to witness any of your tomfoolery yesterday.

Vaughn: (Laughs). It was funny at times but so awkward in others. I had to make up a really long, boring story and tell it to Roy and Maximillian and it felt like Sim Brother was just letting me go and on to embarrass myself. I wanted the ground to swallow me up.

Zsa Zsa: Oh, that's funny. How you feeling about potentially getting out of the bunker tomorrow?

Vaughn: It'll be amazing. I'm not sure Sasha would cope with another five days in there. I could probably handle it, but I think the only reason she's stayed so strong is because she knows it's for a limited time... presumably.

Zsa Zsa: I hope the next thing we do is actually a challenge. The last one was just pure luck.

Vaughn: I think it will be. They just had to do something quick for us to do at the end of the launch.

Zsa Zsa: True. So, what do you and Sasha normally do for the holidays?

Vaughn: We take it in turns going from family to family. Would've been with my family this year... though, if we're evicted before Christmas day, I suppose we still will be.

Zsa Zsa: I highly doubt you guys will be going anywhere anytime soon. You're a lovely couple.

Vaughn: That's sweet. Thank you.

Sim Brother: This is Sim Brother, the first round of nominations will begin at 2PM. Couples are allowed to confer privately with one another about nominations, but not with any of their other housemates. Please take this time to come up with full, frank, and honest reasons for your nominations.

Vaughn: Oh, shit.

Wilbur: Well, that's put the cat amongst the pigeons.

Corinne: I'm excited!

Wilbur: You are?

Corinne: Yeah! It's the first thing we're being given to do since we've been in here! Wilbur: That is sadly true. I best go find Tammi.

Corinne: OK.

Corinne: Decisions, decisions...

Maximillian and Roy are by the campfire.

Maximillian: Guess the game side of things starts today, my friend.

Roy: So it would seem.

Maximillian: Have you and Kim had a talk about your decisions?

Roy: Yes. We have the two.

Maximillian: Weird, isn't it? It's like we haven't really prepared ourselves for this moment. But the backstabbing has to begin at some point.

Roy: It's hardly backstabbing when we're being made to do it though.

Maximillian: Yes, but it feels like it is when you genuinely like everybody.

Roy: True.

Aleks and Emery are in their private quarters.

Emery: You having a think?

Aleks: Uh-huh.

Emery: I was thinking our choices were obvious?

Aleks: Yeah? Who?

Emery: Aisha and Corinne and Kim and Roy.

Aleks: But how many couples are gonna be up?

Emery: How'd you mean?

Aleks: If at least three couples are going up, there's going to be another pair going up with them, and I think it's fair to assume those guys will get the most votes.

Emery: You don't know that.

Aleks: I'd say it's likely.

Emery: So, what are you suggesting?

Aleks: We consider nominating at least one other pair to try and give ourselves some wiggle room?

Emery: I genuinely don't want to nominate any of the others though.

Aleks: I get what you're saying, but this is a game, babe.

Emery: (Sighs). I dunno. It's the first round. I'd rather just vote for the people we least want to live with at this point.

The housemates have been gathered in the lounge for the first round of nominations.

Kim: Here we go.

Naveen: I love that they make everyone sit here while it's going on... like we couldn't possibly go about our day. (Laughs).

Zsa Zsa: It's a tradition! They always do it like this!

Maximillian: Maybe we could have a sing-song?

Kalyani: Or awkward silence?

Sim Brother: This is Sim Brother, would Aisha and Corinne please come to the diary room.

Corinne: Right. This is us.

Aisha: Let's get it over with.

Zsa Zsa: Good luck, guys.

Maximillian: Be ruthless!

Tammi-Louise: That camera keeps staring at me. The flirt.

Aisha: Hi, Sim Brother.

Sim Brother: Hello, Aisha. Hello, Corinne. Please give the name of your first nomination and explain your reasons for this nomination.

Corinne: Kim and Roy?

Aisha: Yeah.

Aisha: They're nice people but we were taken aback by some of their beliefs.

Corinne: And we feel like they're being insincere and acting nice and accepting when they might actually be quite hateful and judgemental. After all, they're clever enough to know that if they come in here and admit they're homophobic or whatever that it would backfire, but they're not doing that, and I'm not sure we find it believable.

Aisha: The fact they voted for Trump was a warning sign.

Kim: Definitely.

Sim Brother: Please give the name of your second nomination and explain your reasons for this nomination.

Aisha: I think this one is for Wilbur and Tammi-Louise.

Corinne: Yes.

Corinne: We get the impression they don't like us very much.

Aisha: Tammi, especially. She comes across as quite stand-offish.

Corinne: And I've got nothing to base this on so I admit I might be totally out of line here, but I have a feeling she might be a bit bitchy about people.

Aisha: He's nice and everything, but he doesn't make much effort either.

Corinne: To be honest, we'd probably notice their absence the least if they were to leave.

Sim Brother: Thank you, Aisha. Thank you, Corinne. You're now free to leave the diary room.

Aisha: Over and done with.

Corinne: Yep.

Sim Brother: This is Sim Brother, would Aleks and Emery please come to the diary room.

Emery: Coming!

Kalyani: That's what she said.

Kim: Oh, Kalyani! (Laughs).

Sim Brother: Hello, Aleks.

Aleks: Hey.

Sim Brother: Hello, Emery.

Emery: Good afternoon.

Sim Brother: Please give the name of your first nomination and explain your reasons for this nomination.

Emery: Easy one first, right? Aisha and Corinne.

Emery: We're not exactly sure what they've benefited at all from this experience five days in. They're miserable. Corinne, especially. They hardly socialise with everyone, they definitely make the least effort, and there have been times where Corinne has made a scene for no reason whatsoever.

Aleks: She definitely makes things uncomfortable at times. And part of me just thinks it might be for attention.

Emery: Aisha's a lot nicer, but we've not entirely sure we understand what she's about either. They're an odd bunch.

Sim Brother: Please give the name of your second nomination and explain your reasons for this nomination.

Aleks: I honestly think it'd be wise to go for someone else.

Emery: Babe, I hear you, but I don't want to. Not this week, at least.

Aleks: OK. You can get your way this time.

Emery: (Laughs). Good. Our second nomination is for Kim and Roy.

Emery: I feel bad about this one as they're nice people, but we really don't have much in common with them at all.

Aleks: And they don't seem as concerned as getting to know us as they do some of the others.

Emery: I'm not sure that's true.

Aleks: Either way, I don't think they're ever going to be close to us in here and it seems a bit pointless, in my opinion anyway, to make much effort. Based on what I've heard, I doubt we'd agree with them on much.

Emery: Again. Nice people, though.

Aleks: That was fun.

Sim Brother: This is Sim Brother would Kalyani and Naveen please come to the diary room.

Naveen: On our way, big guy!

Kalyani: Hiya!

Sim Brother: Hello, Kalyani. Hello, Naveen. Please give the name of your first nomination and explain your reasons for this nomination.

Naveen: This one's quite easy, if we're honest.

Kalyani: Yeah. Piece of piss, really. It's for Corinne and Aisha.

Kalyani: Aisha seems like a nice person, but she's not exactly made much effort with us so we're not too bothered about her being dragged down by Corinne, who really is the only person in this house who we think has gone out of her way to be difficult.

Naveen: When we were doing our shopping a few days ago, it seems like she was intentionally try to start an argument. It's only down to the fact we didn't bite that nothing really came of it.

Kalyani: And it was especially pathetic as it was the first day in here! Aisha apologised to us, not that she had to, but Corinne never said a word. And I think that says everything.

Sim Brother: Please give the name of your second nomination and explain your reasons for this nomination.

Naveen: Kim and Roy, Sim Brother.

Naveen: They've not done anything wrong by any means, but we never really know what to say to them beyond small-talk, which was fine for the first few days, but now it's just painfully awkward.

Kalyani: Kim's a lot more approachable, but Roy just seems a bit grumpy. He talks to who he wants to talk to and doesn't make the slightest bit of effort with anyone else.

Naveen: Yeah. So, that's our reasons, big guy.

Sim Brother: Thank you, Kalyani and Naveen. You're now free to leave the diary room.

Kalyani: I'm getting hungry now.

Naveen: Yeah. I could eat.

Kalyani: Can we put something in the oven?

Naveen: The kitchen door's locked.

Kalyani: Dammit.

Sim Brother: This is Sim Brother, would Kim and Roy come to the diary room.

Roy: On our way!

Sim Brother: Hello, Kim. Hello, Roy.

Roy: Howdy.

Sim Brother: Please give the name of your first nomination and explain your reasons for this nomination.

Kim: Aisha and Corinne.

Roy: They're the only people in the house, or Corinne is for that matter, that we've had an unpleasant dealing with.

Kim: It seems to us that she was desperate to ask us about our political opinions and then she sort of railroaded us for it. Even though we were polite and civil and more than happy to talk about things amicably.

Roy: I think had she gotten her way, she would've gotten an argument out of it.

Sim Brother: Please give the name of your second nomination and explain your reasons for this nomination.

Kim: This is a toughie for us but we've decided that we'll have to give our second nomination to Tammi-Louise and Wilbur.

Roy: We like them a lot. They're nice people. But I think out of everyone else, they make the least amount of effort.

Kim: Sometimes it seems like they're in their own world, Tammi especially. She seems a bit spoilt, too. And that can rub us up the wrong way a bit.

Roy: She hasn't even gotten dressed yet.

Kim: Yes. It might seem petty but things like that do irritate us. We don't like laziness.

Sim Brother: Thank you, Kim and Roy. You are now free to leave the diary room.

Kim: I'm pleased that's over and done with.

Roy: Me too, sweetheart.

Sim Brother: Would Maximillian and Zsa Zsa please come to the diary room.

Maximillian: We be there soon!

Zsa Zsa: Hello there.

Maximillian: Sorry we're late.

Sim Brother: Hello, Maximillian. Hello, Zsa Zsa. Please give the name of your first nomination and explain your reasons for this nomination.

Maximillian and Zsa Zsa: Aisha and Corinne.

Maximillian: There have been two occasions over the past five days in which Corinne has made us feel quite uncomfortable. The first when she basically told us she would remember who was good to her in case she's ever a top ranked couple in the future. The second was when she brought up politics, referred to us Americans as 'yanks' and seems to be very hostile when Kim and Roy expressed their view.

Zsa Zsa: We're on her side of the political aisle, but the way she went about it was so wrong. And I think Kim and Roy were right to stay calm as she might have wanted an argument.

Sim Brother: Please give the name of your second nomination and explain your reasons for this nomination.

Zsa Zsa: This one took us a while. In the end, we've decided to go for Aleks and Emery.

Maximillian: This is definitely the toughest of our nominations but it was between them and two other couples and in the end we realised they were probably the people we had gotten to know the least.

Zsa Zsa: And they don't seem as interested in getting to know us as the others either. Aleks is pretty aloof with everyone but even Emery seems more concerned about fitting in with the younger girls and not really giving us the time of day. Part of it might be because they're separated from everyone else by having their own quarters, but if anything that should give them more reason to try and make a bit more effort.

Sim Brother: Thank you, Maximillian and Zsa Zsa. You are now free to leave the diary room.

Maximillian: Could murder a cup of tea.

Zsa Zsa: I could murder you.

Sim Brother: Would Sasha and Vaughn please come to the diary room.

Vaughn: Sure thing.

Vaughn: How's it going?

Sasha: Hi, Sim Brother! Sim Brother: Hello, Sasha. Hello, Vaughn. Please give the name of your first nomination and explain your reasons for this nomination.

Vaughn: We're voting for Corinne and Aisha first.

Vaughn: Corinne's been quite argumentative at times and has almost caused a few rows. Sure, you expect that when you came into this sort of environment, but hopefully not within the first few days! And because of her that almost happened.

Sasha: I think Corinne has also acted like a bit of a brat on several occasions. We're the lowest ranked couple and clearly have it tougher than her and Aisha, but you wouldn't know that by how she moans. She doesn't seem to think about other people. And from the impression I've got after five days, I'm going to say she's a brat.

Vaughn: As for Aisha, I don't think she's really bothered to speak to us much.

Sim Brother: Please give the name of your second nomination and explain your reasons for this nomination.

Vaughn: This is where we've hit a snag, big guy.

Sasha: I can't nominate Kim.

Vaughn: It's the one we have reasons for, though?

Sasha: Speak for yourself. I don't. Kim's been amazing to me, babe. I'm not betraying her by nominating her at the first opportunity. She's been great and I'd like her to stay.

Vaughn: Wilbur and Tammi?

Sasha: I really like Tammi. Wilbur's nice, too, but I feel like I've formed a friendship with her.

Vaughn: Seems like it's gonna have to be Zsa Zsa and Max, then?

Sasha: (Sighs). Seems so.

Sasha: We feel terribly about this one as we really like these guys.

Vaughn: They're brilliant.

Sasha: And don't be mad at us but we don't have that good of a reason for going for them. But out of everyone else after Corinne and Aisha, they're the ones we've hit it off with the least. Zsa Zsa is lovely and has been supportive too but she can also be quiet on occasion and I don't know whether I can go up and speak to her.

Vaughn: We also feel that sometimes, and just sometimes because he's hilarious, that maybe Maximillian tries a tad too hard?

Sim Brother: Thank you, Sasha and Vaughn. You're now free to the leave the diary room.

Sasha: Phew. Done with.

Sim Brother: This is Sim Brother, would Tammi-Louise and Wilbur come to the diary room.

Wilbur: Your wish is our command!

Tammi-Louise: Let's do this!

Wilbur: Someone's eager. (Laughs).

Tammi-Louise: I'm bored!

Sim Brother: Hello, Tammi-Louise. Hello, Wilbur. Please give the name of your first nomination and explain your reasons for this nomination.

Wilbur: This probably won't come as a surprise but it's for Aisha and Corinne.

Tammi-Louise: They can be really nice and quite a laugh, but then they can also change moods in a blink of flash. Corinne more obviously as she seems to kick off and take offence every time the wind changes, but Aisha can go from being really sweet and chatty one minute and then really glum and quiet the next. It's like living with a pair of teenagers.

Wilbur: Corinne's also almost caused a few arguments and to be honest, I can't be dealing with it. Not this early on when there's barely any reason to have a grudge.

Sim Brother: Please give the name of your second nomination and explain your reasons for this nomination.

Tammi-Louise: Kim and Roy.

Wilbur: Lovely people. In fact, I've been speaking to Roy quite a bit more over the past few days and I've really warmed to him as I was quite unsure the first day or two. He's a genuinely lovely man and she's a lovely woman too, but they can be quite quiet and I think Tammi doesn't know if she's actually amusing them or offending them.

Tammi-Louise: They're hard to read and it's making me nervous. (Laughs).

Wilbur: We think the viewers should decide whether they want them to stay in another week or not.

Sim Brother: Thank you, Tammi-Louise and Wilbur. You are now free to leave the diary room.

Wilbur: That's all, folks!

Vaughn: Pipe down, Bugs.

Aisha: I wonder when they're going to announce it?

Corinne: Yeah. I'm dying to know.

Sasha: Didn't they used to announce it the day after?

Kalyani: Sometimes. Not always.

With nominations over, Aisha and Corinne received six nominations, Kim and Roy got four, and Tammi-Louise and Wilbur got two. All three couples will face eviction this week. Aleks and Emery and Maximillian and Zsa Zsa both received one nomination each while Kalyani and Naveen and Sasha and Vaughn didn't pick up any nominations from their fellow housemates.

Sim Brother: This is Sim Brother, the couples facing eviction this week are...

Maximillian: Oh, here we go! Naveen: Shitting it.

Zsa Zsa: Good luck, everyone.

Sim Brother: In alphabetical order...

Sim Brother: Aisha and Corinne.

Aisha: (Sighs).

Corinne: Well, that was fucking obvious, wasn't it?

Aisha: Babe...

Corinne: What a surprise that was! Didn't see that coming at all! Honestly. We never stood a chance in here.

Sim Brother: And...

Sim Brother: Kim and Roy.

Roy: (Laughs). That's fine.

Kim: We completely expected it.

Sasha: Aw, man.

Emery: You guys OK?

Kim: Oh, definitely. Whatever happens, happens.

Sim Brother: And...

Sim Brother: Tammi-Louise and Wilbur.

Wilbur: Aw. Never mind.

Tammi-Louise: Boo! What a shit decision! (Laughs). It's OK. We'll see what happens.

Wilbur: Yeah. There's three of us up so the odds aren't too bad.

Tammi-Louise: Exactly.

Maximillian: You sure you're OK?

Wilbur: For sure.

Sim Brother: These three couples will face eviction this week. Housemates are now free to leave the sofas.

Corinne: This is total BS.

Aisha: Corinne, stop it.

Corinne: Sorry, but I know this would happen! I just knew it! We're clearly going to be the first ones out! Kim: You don't know that! Corinne: Yeah. I do. I knew we'd get judged.

Kalyani: Babe, nobody's judging you! It's part of the game!

Corinne: I can't be fucked with this anymore...

Corinne: I'm going to sleep!

Naveen: I think she took it well.

Sasha: It's so shit you're up, Kim.

Kim: Oh, honey. It's fine. We're more than ready for it!

Sasha: I hope you stay!

Kim: I do, too.

Emery: You guys good?

Wilbur: Yes. Fine. I did think we might be up.

Tammi-Louise: If I'm honest, I'll doubt we'll go at this point.

Wilbur: Well, you never know.

Tammi-Louise: Nah. They'd be nuts to kick us out this early. We bring too much.

Emery: (Laughs). Love the confidence. You're not wrong, though.

Corinne is in bed. She has not spoken to anyone since she left the lounge.

Naveen and Vaughn are working out in the gym.

Naveen: We get another week in here at least, bro.

Vaughn: Yeah, man. I'm so relieved. Nobody wants to be the first one out.

Naveen: Nah. Definitely not. I knew Kalyani was worried about it so it's a relief for her, too.

Vaughn: Who do you reckon will go?

Naveen: Seems weird to say, but I genuinely have no idea. I normally almost get it right when I watch this show, but all three couples bring something. Corinne is probably keeping things interesting. Tammi, too. So for that reason, I might say Kim and Roy. But they're genuinely nice people...

Vaughn: That's what I was gonna say. People might like how genuine they come across.

Naveen: Yep. Guess we'll have to wait and find out.

Kalyani, Sasha, and Tammi-Louise are in the snug.

Kalyani: You good, girl?

Tammi-Louise: Honestly, babe. You don't need to keep asking. I'm absolutely fine.

Sasha: I didn't expect you to be up, if it's OK to say?

Kalyani: I think we can speculate after we know the results... just not before... if that makes sense? You know what? Maybe just don't say anything? (Laughs).

Sasha: Yeah. I don't want to be punished more than I already have in here.

Kalyani: You reckon you'll stay then, Tammi?

Tammi-Louise: I see no reason why we should go at this stage. Sure, that might sound big-headed, but I think we've been friendlier than Corinne and probably more entertaining than Kim and Roy.

Sasha: The viewers will probably have more to gain if they keep you in.

Tammi-Louise: Well, I think so. We'll have to see.

Aisha is in the diary room.

Aisha: Hi.

Sim Brother: Hello, Aisha. How are you?

Aisha: I feel crap. (Laughs).

Sim Brother: Why do you feel that way, Aisha?

Aisha: Not only am I up for eviction, but I have a feeling we got nominations from every single other couple. And that's down to Corinne. No question.

Sim Brother: Why do you think that?

Aisha: Because she's acting like a brat. Constantly. Yes, there's still time until the eviction but people will be voting soon and as far as I'm concerned, I think she's sealed our fate. We're gonna be the first out.

Sim Brother: Have you spoken to Corinne?

Aisha: No. I can't be bothered tonight. Not that she's even tried. She's too busy sulking.

Kim, Maximillian, Roy, WIlbur, and Zsa Zsa are by the campfire.

Maximillian: Well, it goes without saying, I hope my three friends around me here all stay.

Kim: That's sweet.

Wilbur: Yeah. I hope we do, too.

Zsa Zsa: Do you want me to stay, too?

Maximillian: I'd fare better alone, to be honest.

Zsa Zsa: (Laughs). You wish.

Wilbur: I wish I shared Tammi's confidence. She doesn't think we're going to go.

Kim: I don't think you will either. You'll be the safest, I reckon.

Roy: I think so, too.

Wilbur: Why!?

Kim: I think it's between the girls and Roy and I. We're probably perceived as more boring while Corinne has perhaps pissed more people off. And we'll see what the viewers would rather watch, I suppose.

Zsa Zsa: I don't agree you've been boring. At all.

Roy: We've been ourselves. And that was always the plan. We're not gonna be something or not. So, first out, or last out, we're staying true to ourselves.

Maximillian: And you deserve utmost respect for that.

Aleks and Emery are in the hot tub.
